Physicalism
The claim that what exists is physical, or depends on the physical without remainder of a second kind of substance.
Physicalism is a family of views, not one sentence. Some versions identify mental states with physical states. Some say mental truths are fixed by physical truths without being identical in meaning. The NOEMA left pole records an inclination toward this family. It does not record which version, and it does not record whether the explanatory gap has been closed.
